Job Description

Candidate’s Qualities

  • Build, manage and constantly seek to improve the automation of IdP-related business workflows including user and application provisioning
  • Own the lifecycle of engineering new solutions (requirements, analysis of options, design, implementation, operations) and modifications to existing solutions.
  • Establish trust and relationships across the organization globally as it pertains to SaaS automation and provisioning
  • Self-starter to manage multiple projects simultaneously while remaining engaged with stakeholders
  • You get excited about IAM (Identity and Access Management), SAML and SaaS-based Identity Providers (IdP)
  • Assertive individual who seeks the correct solution to meet business requirements with a mind toward security
  • Appreciation for thorough implementation of a new solution, including gathering data, proof-of-concept of ideas / testing and validating that solution meets the business need.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

Candidate’s Experience / Skills / Role at Uber

  • Experience leading the integration of SaaS-based SSO with a variety of applications, including SaaS (G Suite, Box, Slack) and custom applications
  • Expert and trusted advisor on the implementation and usage of SSO per best practices in a global, enterprise environment
  • Experience deploying Identity Access Management (IAM) platforms, including integration with Active Directory
  • At least fundamental knowledge of an administrative scripting language (BASH, Perl, PowerShell) in addition to a development language (Python, JavaScript / Google Apps Script, Java)
  • Comfortable interacting with RESTful APIs for SaaS applications
  • Standards and Protocols: SAML, LDAP, RADIUS, HTTP(S), (s)FTP, SSH, XML RPC, REST, JSON, YAML
  • Experience building highly-detailed proposal, project and support documentation
  • Experience being the SME of a SAML-related project
  • Previously a member of a high-functioning, healthy team that performed one or more projects that impacted the entire company
  • Lead the improvement of our support framework with the creation of high-quality technical documentation and the design of policies, processes, and procedures
  • Ultimate escalation point for critical issues related to corporate IdP
