Job Description

About the Role

Payments are core to the Uber experience, and the Payments team at Uber builds the strategic and operational infrastructure required to support Uber at scale across numerous geographies and products.  This manager role is an Individual Contributor position on a small and impactful team at Uber focused on driving the future vision of payments at Uber, including acceptance, disbursement, and strategic partnerships. In this position, you’ll be expected to bring a practiced maturity and perspective to the payments team based on your past payments experience.


What You’ll Do

  • Help set the strategic direction of core payments initiatives at Uber. Drive internal clarity on payment priorities and roadmaps with broad sets of stakeholders
  • Build in-depth regional and product expertise and build business cases backed with serious analytical horsepower
  • Forge new and enhance existing global payments and strategic relationships; manage contractual and technical development and negotiation
  • Consistently push the envelope working with partners to create new methods of payments supporting Uber’s growth in developing markets
  • Collaborate with product managers and engineering to build-out critical payments platforms

What You’ll Need

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in e-commerce, card-not-present, or alternative payments
  • Ability to independently formulate and manage projects in a dynamic work environment
  • Strong ability to build financial models and related scenario analyses
  • Balance attention to detail with swift execution 
  • Strong SQL skills
