Job Description

About the Role


As a control engineer you will develop and implement real-time functionality for safety-critical embedded applications. 



What You'll Do

  • Validate in-vehicle controller performance against functional requirements
  • Analyze, sustain, and improve existing controls software.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams for efficient delivery using standard methodologies


What You'll Need


  • MS / PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field
  • Linear system theory knowledge and experience with analysis tools and techniques
  • Prior experience in motion planning for robotics
  • Understanding of vehicle dynamics and modeling
  • Proven ability to produce computationally efficient software that can meet real-time requirements
  • Experience programming in C++ for a real world robotic system


Bonus Points If


  • Embedded systems experience
  • Experience in nonlinear and linear optimal control techniques including LQR/LQG, H-infinity, or other robust control techniques
  • Model predictive control experience
  • Strong experience in dynamic systems
  • Automotive experience
  • Experience working on safety-critical systems
  • Vehicle state estimation / localization experience
  • Motion planning experience
