About the Role

 

We’re a game-changing company offering our users global access to quality on-demand transportation and logistics services with a touch of their smartphone. We are currently searching for product counsel with substantial and broad expertise in advising business teams to join the Uber Legal Team. You’ll be the second UberEATS-focused product counsel and will be based at Uber’s HQ in San Francisco. Do you want to bring your expertise to Uber? Read on...

 

What You’ll Do

  • Provide broad-based legal advice to teams including Product, Engineering, and Ops from the initial stages of product development through launch.
  • Review global products, features and initiatives to assess legal compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Create and maintain guidelines for internal teams on product development (e.g., data use, advertising, technology integration).

 

What You’ll Need

  • 3-5 years of legal experience, with in-house experience preferred.  
  • Admission in and good standing with one or more State's Bar.
  • Demonstrated experience advising clients in the development of Internet and mobile consumer-facing products and services.
  • Ideal candidate will have product review experience, with international experience a plus
  • Excellent business judgment, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Enthusiasm for taking on new responsibilities, even if outside areas of expertise
  • Solutions-oriented ability to analyse risk
  • Able to learn new areas of the law quickly
  • Flexible and willing to take on new challenges
  • Enthusiastic about Uber!
