About the role

 

We’re disrupting the transportation space and growing rapidly in both the U.S. and internationally. This is an excellent opportunity for an intellectually curious data analyst to gain valuable technical and business experience while working in one of Uber’s most critical and fastest growing division. This analyst will be based at Uber’s HQ in San Francisco.  What you’ll do

  • Learn about Uber’s rapidly growing and unique safety and insurance operations
  • Help build the centralized Business Intelligence function for Safety & Insurance through a combination of your class-leading analytics, excellent business communication/presentation skills, and problem-solving ability
  • Build and create dashboards and key metrics to drive business decisions
  • Model data and metadata to support ad-hoc and pre-built reporting.
  • Produce professional-looking presentations to communicate key results from analyses

What you'll need

  • A minium of 4+ years of professional experience at a company with global operations
  • Previous experience in safety or insurance a plus
  • Advanced working knowledge of data analysis to include SQL, ETL, Data Warehousing as well as Excel (VBA) skills
  • Experience with analytical software (such as SAS, Micro Strategy, Qlik, Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
  • Experience with R and Python a plus
  • Collaboration to identify, build, and maintain scalable processes
  • Great communication skills, organized, able to multitask and be a great teammate
  • Balance attention to detail with swift execution
  • Demonstrated experience translating complex and technical subject matter
  • Ability to work in conditions, which include multiple and sometime conflicting priorities
  • Enthusiasm about Uber!
