Job Description

About the Role


Our People Operations Team is looking for a Global Background Check Specialist to manage our Global Employee Background Check program - someone who is passionate about making the process and experience better each day for internal and external stakeholders, and who can serve as the central global point of contact for program management, including vendor management, issue resolution, and reporting.


What You’ll Do


  • Manage the relationship with our Global Background Check vendor, monitoring service level agreements and prioritizing change and functionality requests
  • Respond to escalated inquiries and troubleshoot program issues on behalf of candidates, managers, recruiters and HR
  • Collaborate with legal stakeholders to ensure the local background check are in compliance with changing legislations
  • Administer the adjudication of background checks and coordinate with stakeholders for clearance
  • Identify global process areas for improvement and take ownership of implementing changes
  • Enhance onboarding experience relating to background checks e.g. communications and automations
  • Run change projects if there are are new legislation requirements.
  • Provide trainings to Recruiters and HR team outlining their involvement in the Background checks process
  • Set up metrics and methodology for results reporting.
  • Run regular audits on background check results to ensure compliance with the policies
  • Assist with additional HR compliance projects as needs arise


What You’ll Need

  • Experience in compliance work. Experience specifically in background checks is a huge plus
  • Experience in working with SLAs
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business operations, HR compliance, or law
  • Minimum 4 years of prior experience in an HR compliance or process consulting role
  • Workday experience and/or experience from a ticketing system is a plus
