Job Description

About the Role:


As the Head of Product Marketing for Uber for Business you will lead product marketing efforts across our suite of offerings, bringing the customer into the development process to ensure product-market fit, developing effective customer segmentation and personas, crafting positioning and messaging, driving our go-to-market efforts and scaling those efforts globally. You will continually be thinking about how we align our product and marketing efforts with the biggest opportunities in the market today while also identifying future opportunities. You and your team will enable all stages of the selling process with the product content that educates and inspires our prospects and customers. You’ll be a passionate advocate for the product and our customers both internally and externally.


You’ll be a cross functional leader with the ability to build a world-class team of product marketers and work closely with a high-performing cross-functional team that includes counterparts in Product, Design, Engineering, Business Development, Sales, and Operations.






What You'll Need:


  • 8 - 10 years of experience delivering highly successful B2B product marketing, go-to-market, demand generation and growth strategies with your signature all over them.
  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, Business or related field. MBA a plus.
  • An effective team building skills, able to build, develop and lead a high-performance team
  • Ability to articulate the essence of products and the value they create. You can develop a meaningful messaging hierarchy and effective content strategy plan.
  • Ability to use data to understand the what’s important and turn it into an insightful story. You know how to use data to make decisions without getting stuck in paralysis by analysis.
  • Market research skills: You're a truth-seeker. You know your market and customers better than anyone, and you're excellent at integrating this information into your growth strategies.
  • A "owner" personality: You're biased toward action, a great collaborator and an excellent disambiguator/simplifier. You never stop pushing towards clarity and delivery.
  • Grittiness: You never hesitate to roll up your sleeves and take on something hands-on, you persevere when others fall away.
  • True passion for Uber's mission and the company's hybrid technology / operations nature.

Uber for Business is a new team at Uber with a bold mission: build products on top of the core Uber service so that businesses can create better experiences for their customers and employees. We’re a small, but strong team, with over 65,000 businesses using the three products in our portfolio (Travel, Central, Events). We’re continually improving these products and designing new ones as we drive our mission: make Uber indispensable to every organization by empowering their people to run and grow their business through Uber’s services.
