Job Description

About the Role

 

As a Hardware test engineer on the V&V team, you will participate in requirements engineering, develop hardware verification and validation plans, develop test cases, design/build test fixtures, execute tests and document results to validate components and systems.

What You’ll Do

  • Testing of mechanical and electrical components and systems including:
    • thermal, vibration, electrical, quality and reliability testing
  • Reading technical drawings and schematics
  • Working with a laptop, a wrench, and power tools
  • Building and debugging complex mechanical and electrical hardware systems and test fixtures
  • Working with measuring instruments and data acquisition systems

 

What You’ll Need

  • Experience with soldering and performing wire termination of all types
  • Experience working independently to quickly overcome challenges without supervision
  • Ability isolating, documenting, and tracking issues systematically
  • Strong technical writing and documentation of results
  • Great at communicating with other technicians, engineers, and executives

 

 

About the Team

 

Our hardware team's role is to develop and integrate UBER self-driving technologies into existing and future vehicle platforms of multiple OEM’s at scale.
