Job Description

About the Role


As a Software Engineer, you will work to develop our core infrastructure that enables autonomy engineers to develop and validate the software used in self driving vehicles. You will be looking at developing tools that will allow Uber to get to the goal of having a self driving vehicle on the road asap.


What You'll Do


  • Develop tools that enhance developer productivity
  • Build innovative solutions using internal/external tools
  • Build scalable systems that utilize distributed computing systems


What You'll Need  


  • Proficiency in C++
  • Basic working knowledge of Python or Go
  • Experience with distributed systems
  • Experience working with AWS, Google Cloud, Azure or similar products
  • Minimum 3 years work experience or equivalent graduate work

Our teams in Pittsburgh, San Francisco, Phoenix, and Toronto are dedicated to mapping, software and hardware development, vehicle safety, and operations for self-driving technology. Our teams are passionate about developing a self-driving system that will one day move people and things around more safely, efficiently, and cost effectively.


The infrastructure tools team develops the core technology used for running software in a large scale distributed environment.
