About the Role

 

The UberEATS Senior Regional Operations Manager role is a unique opportunity to help expand one of Uber's newest services, UberEATS. This is a critical role bringing together a three-sided marketplace and optimizing the food delivery process. This operations-driven role calls for a combination of creative problem solving, detail oriented responsibility, and interpersonal ability to nurture and guide teams to take this new business to the next level.

This is a rigorous business side role in a high-growth environment, and this person will work together with the EATS Leadership team in Latam along with headquarters-based engineering, product, and process teams. This role will contribute enormously to the growth of the UberEATS business.

What You'll Do

 

  • Lead: Build out and directly lead an operations organization across Latam to enable Uber EATS to scale through high impact programs executed both centrally and localized where appropriate
  • Work closely with the Regional Head of Operations and General Managers, helping define region level management goals and strategies to achieve them
  • Motivate and leverage existing and new staff to continually up-level their results, expectations, and stretch for increasingly higher levels of impact across all core operational metrics
  • Work closely in a matrixed environment with local operations, marketing, strategy, analytics, design, engineering, finance and other senior leadership in the region and at HQ to set clear objectives for regional
  • Strategy. Choose which projects the team should focus on and set a timeline to reach goals quickly. Help invent the future of UberEATS!
  • Analytics. Analysis of driver metrics to properly allocate supply, develop driver incentive programs, and ensure high-quality partner experiences
  • Growth Planning. Evaluate the economic and strategic costs and benefits of driver incentive programs and work with the team to execute those strategies
  • Develop & Optimize Processes. Create and scale new and existing processes to allow the business to launch and grow
  • Product Improvement. Proactively search for new features which could improve a seamless driver experience
  • Be Resourceful and Take Initiative. Take ownership of Uber's growth in your city and do everything you can to support and enhance the quality of our services

 

What You'll Need

 

  • At least 5 years of deep, hands-on management of functions that included combinations of the following: operations, analytics, marketing, customer loyalty and retention, and project management is expected, but we will consider candidates with less experience if they meet our other requirements
  • A willingness to be "on the ground" working with our driver and business partners
  • Unparalleled business judgement and critical thinking skills with the ability to use data to quickly establish highest value priorities and develop a strategy to pursue them
  • Quantitative data analysis, deep actionable insights, modeling, and advanced test plan design and analysis experience
  • High energy and motivational leadership driven by personal influence and example with direct staff, peers, and senior leaders across all company functions
  • Experience working closely and communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders in an ever-changing, rapid growth environment with tight deadlines
  • Strong experience managing teams across multiple offices and territories
  • Experience with SQL a plus
