About the Role

 

The mission of Uber’s Vehicle Solutions business is to lower the barriers to becoming an Uber driver-partner by increasing accessibility to a vehicle. Vehicle Solutions delivers on that mission globally today through a number of products, including direct flexible leases, vehicle rentals, and vehicle financing options. In Singapore, our direct flexible rental program is Lion City Rentals (www.lioncityrentals.com.sg).

 

Lion City Rentals (LCR) has validated a very strong product/market fit, and is poised to become a highly strategic lever for Uber's rideshare business.  The team has ramped to 100+ employees in just over two years, and is preparing for the next stage of growth by bringing in experienced management, and investing materially in the sustainability of the business.  We are also getting ready to stage the business for product line expansion, creating a broader set of financial service offerings outside of vehicles. We aspire to lead the rental and automotive industry

by providing our drivers cheaper rentals with better customer experience.

 

We are currently looking for an Office Administrator who will serve as a champion for ensuring that company culture and values are embedded in the workplace. This role supports a diverse set of projects and programs that enable the team to continue to grow, develop and foster a great company culture.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Serve as an ambassador and role model for Uber’s values.
  • Be attuned to the specific needs of team’s culture, identify root causes of engagement issues, and collaborate with the management and HR team to address them.
  • Have a strong pulse on people’s beliefs, attitudes, behaviours, and values at Uber.
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with HR partners, the leadership team, and employees across all functions.
  • Organize internal and external office events, team trips, meetings and outings including vendor selection and negotiation.
  • Use creativity and innovation while driving employee recognition efforts and goodwill programs.
  • Create team or office-wide communications about events and initiatives using various formats including social media.
  • Work with leaders in People Operations and HRBP to deeply understand all facets of the nUber experience, and collaborate across the region to continuously improve it.
  • Facilitate the new employee onboarding process on a local level. Welcome new-comers during their first few weeks and assist with things like:

○ completion of HR paperwork

○ enrollment in training programs

○ set-up of office equipment/space

○ new hire office orientation

○ enrollment in mentorship/shadowing programs

○ intros to team through meet and greet events

○ overview of online tools

○ pre-set calendar invites to meetings and other local events

 

 

  • Partner with Workplace, IT, People and Security staff to make sure the team’s needs are being met and to create exceptional employee experiences (providing feedback about food program, new office builds etc.)
  • Support the local senior management team with day-to-day initiatives and administrative needs and to create programs and initiatives.
  • Lead efforts for other people related programs targeting a positive experience for interns, visitors from other offices and external candidates.
  • Take a scrappy approach to problems and develop a reputation as the go-to POC for all logistics questions.
  • Assist recruiting with ensuring a world class experience for candidates.
  • Create team or office-wide communications about events and initiatives.
  • Develop, and manage our ever evolving swag inventory and distribution.

 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • 2+ years of executive/admin assistant, office management, team administrative, event planning responsibilities; experience preferred if from a startup/tech environment.
  • High energy, enthusiasm and professionalism.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact professionally and efficiently with internal and external partners.
  • Superior organizational skills and impeccable follow-through on tasks.
  • An outstanding problem solver who is solution-oriented and has a genuine interest in helping.
  • Previous experience troubleshooting Mac hardware and software, as well as audio/visual helpful.
  • Previous experience with project management software a plus.
  • High level of proficiency with Google Drive/Office Suite desirable
