About the Role


As Uber’s Internationalization Product Manager, you’ll be responsible for advancing the internal platform used to localize the Uber experience into 50 languages, for users in more than 70 countries. Your role will be to help drive Uber into the future with faster, more efficient, and higher quality internationalization/localization.


What You’ll Do

  • Drive innovation, definition, deliverables planning (roadmap) of the evolution of Uber’s localization and internationalization tools
  • Work cross-functionally with engineers and the Localization Team to set qualitative objectives and quantitative goals
  • Clearly communicate plans, insights, data, and results to a spectrum of audiences including executives, other product/engineering teams, marketing, operations, and other decision-makers across Uber
  • Leverage raw data and customer feedback to inform priorities
  • Evangelize standards and best practices internally among product/engineering teams
  • Incorporate third party technologies where appropriate and build internally when they don’t meet the business's needs

What You’ll Need

  • Minimum 3 years of experience driving delivery of platform-oriented products
  • A computer science undergraduate degree or equivalent, plus hands-on software engineering experience
  • Appreciation of languages and their importance in building a successful global brand
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to initiate, cultivate, and maintain key stakeholder relationships
  • Great design instincts and product taste
  • Flexible, with a willingness and aptitude to learn new tasks and adapt to change
  • Proactive, self-starter who can work well both independently and as part of a team

Bonus Points For

  • Experience in localization/internationalization
  • Fluency in multiple languages
