Job Description

UATG is seeking an Office Manager who can help our team work faster and smarter without sacrificing managerial excellence. Your role is to support the growth of our new Toronto office across various operational, administrative, and technical responsibilities. By clearing obstacles, you will allow the organization to function efficiently and contribute to the success of the people around you. This is the quintessential “team player” position, and an opportunity to contribute to the development of technologies that will benefit the world.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead Toronto site operations, anticipating the needs of UATG employees and ensuring that they are met
  • Ability to multi-task and understand the priorities of the office (coordinate food service, snack/bev service, office supplies, visitors, IT needs, POC building inquiries, general HR inquiries, assistance with local recruiting inquiries/events and anything needed by the team)
  • Must be detailed, organized, and a strong communicator as you will work closely with UATG employees at all levels across various disciplines and offices
  • Work closely with a multitude of third party vendors for services including: facilities services, food service, security, shipping, etc.
  • Follow best practices and safety standards for all facilities related tasks
  • Travel between facilities and local vendors; driver’s license required with a clean driving record
  • Insure proper training and use of all facilities equipment by operational staff, including but not limited to forklifts, pallet jacks, and lift trucks
  • Be able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Available and responsive to the global nature of the business and have the ability to work extended hours as necessary (core hours 8:00 am – 6:00 pm, Monday – Friday)
  • Previous facilities experience preferred

 

What You’ll Need

 

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Attention to Detail.  Being right the first time matters a lot to us.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact equally well vendors, technicians, or executives.
  • Work well under pressure in a fast paced environment.
